Lancashire Women Launch Campaign To Keep Families Across the County Safe and Warm This Winter
On Thursday, October 10th, Lancashire Women are launching their Big Give Women and Girls Match Fund Campaign, a week-long initiative that could double the impact of your generosity. From October 10th to 17th, every donation will be matched, giving Lancashire Women the opportunity to raise £20,000 to provide vital support for women and families across Lancashire, ensuring they stay safe and warm this winter.
Why support the campaign?
Financial pressure is weighing heavily on families across the community, leading to anxiety and stress. Many families are stretched thin, juggling work, debt, and rising bills, and the toll on their mental and physical wellbeing is immense. It’s hard to focus on improving your mental health when you’re worried about how to put food on the table or keep the heat on at home.
Your support isn’t just about providing immediate relief; it’s about giving these families a chance to rebuild their lives. By addressing basic needs like food and essential supplies, Lancashire Women are creating a foundation for better mental and physical health, and ultimately, for a brighter future.

How can you help?
Your donation—no matter the size—will go twice as far during the campaign. By funding food and essential supplies, you’re doing more than meeting an immediate need; you’re helping to break the cycle of crisis. Your generosity ensures that less families will suffer hunger or deprivation this winter, helping to reduce the risk of crime or worsening circumstances.
A Lancashire Women service user recently shared:
“I am so pleased I contacted Lancashire Women as this has been a very useful service and helped me feel much better about my debt situation. I can now afford to pay my debt at a suitable amount each month and I'll definitely use this service again.”
