UPDATE: Busy Lancashire road closed after crash
Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes after a crash closed a busy Lancashire road.
Brownedge Lane in Bamber Bridge is closed in both directions between the A6 London Way junction and the Duddle Lane junction , because of an accident involving a car and a man in his late 40s or early 50s.
Lancashire Police tweeted to warn motorists of delays and road closures.
They said: “Road closures due to RTC Bamber Bridge at Brownedge Road/Jct A6 & Brownedge Rd/Jct Brownedge Ln. Please use alternative route.”
Sgt Kim Sturgess said the pedestrian was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with ‘unknown injuries’.
