Many of the city's pubs have adapted to the strict new conditions, which ban households mixing and require customers to order food with their drinks.
It has seen some pubs offer a food menu for the first time in years, whilst others are providing generous discounts on meals (the Ships and Giggles are selling burgers for just 1p!)

5. The Grey Friar (Wetherspoons), Friargate
Preston's other Wetherspoons pub, The Grey Friar, remains open and continues to offer its full food menu. You can also order your meal and drinks via the Wetherspoons app. Booking is not necessary.
6. Lane Ends, Blackpool Road
The Greene King pub in Blackpool Road is open and is offering families a great meal deal. For just £15, you can get two pub classics (adults) and two kids meals, Monday to Friday. They are also still showing football.
7. Hesketh's Arms, New Hall Lane
The Hesketh's Arms is open and is still offering its full food menu, featuring classic British dishes, grills and a children's menu. Open 7-days-a-week from 11am. You can book a table by calling 01772 759297.
8. The New Continental, South Meadow Lane
The New Continental, situated next to the River Ribble near Avenham Park, is open for business, but with reduced hours. You can now book a meal on Wednesday and Thursday, 12pm-2.30pm and 5pm-8pm / Friday and Saturday, 12pm-8pm and Sunday between 12pm-6pm. Call 01772 499425 to book a table.
