Although the decision to approve the Dominos has created a stir amongst some locals, with one resident saying in jest: “Hey let's celebrate moving towards a city centre suburb - no chatacter ot differentials just all the same - binary.”

However others are happy to see the arrival of the popular international pizza chain that primarily sells a variety of pizzas, sides and desserts. As one person said: “

As a relative newcomer to Longridge, I understand why folks are upset about another take away but surely that is better than an ugly graffitied smashed up empty store front?

Being frank, it's not like the people of Longridge aren't being offered shops. How many have closed down in the last two years?

Support it or don't but this shows, again, that (despite what folks like to claim) Longridge isn't a village - it's becoming a commuter town - and bars and take aways are going to be the norm. That is what brings in the money. That and charity shops it seems.”

The new dominos is remoured to open in December and are looking for staff to work in the restaurant.
