After losing a lot of that time to Covid restrictions, she's now hoping to truly put her stamp on the place, and has spent the last lockdown carrying out a full refurbishment.
"We have mixed feelings about Monday", said Nicola.
"We can't wait to open again, but at the same time, we've been here before and have been closed down.
"But this time we've done a full refurbishment - everything you can think of - and we are looking forward to people seeing it."
Everything in the salon has been refurbished, from the flooring to the furniture and wallpaper.
Rules for reopening include one person in each chair (15) and nobody in the waiting room.
Stylists can't see people between appointments, there are only a certain number of people allowed at the backwash at any one time, and full PPE must be worn by staff.
The salon won the title of Lancashire Salon of the Year last year, the first year Nicola has owned the business
Nicola said her staff have got used to the restrictions needed to operate, having worked with the same rules during easings last year, but says visors cause headaches and masks cause communication problems.
