Top live acts in village dates

Two of the best live performers in the country are heading over to Hurst Green Village Hall next weekend, May 16/17.

Firstly, on the Friday night, Nick Harper who is considered one of the greats in acoustic music and was once dubbed “the acoustic Hendrix”.

Harper, the son of legendary Lancastrian musician Roy Harper, and a former member of Squeeze, favours music freedom over success. The special guest for the evening is Tom Metcalfe, a Preston lad with great talent.

Ian Prowse stops off in Hurst Green on the Saturday as part of his Who Loves Ya Baby UK tour.

He’ll be promoting his critically-acclaimed first solo album, following on from great success with his bands Pele and Amsterdam.

The guests for the evening are award-winning duo The Remedy.
