Foot’s Words do come easy

Anarchic comedian Paul Foot has announced a return to 53 Degrees after playing there last year.

The bizarre comic will be back to top the bill at the venue’s Stand and Deliver comedy club night with his new touring show, Words, on October 5 this year.

He last visited 53 Degrees late last year with his previous tour, Kenny Larch is Dead.

The surreal funnyman, who refers to his fans as “The Guild of Connoisseurs”, has won a BBC New Comedy Award and Daily Telegraph Open Mic winner and he has starred on TV panel shows like 8 Out 10 Cats, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, The Alternative Comedy Experience and Russell Howard’s Good News.

Friend and collaborator Noel Fielding of the Mighty Boosh said: “It’s baffling to me that Paul is not a household name in this country. His routines are like jazz clusters.”
