Still Friends film showing

The Dukes in Lancaster is to show Oscar-winning film Still Alice in conjunction with Dementia Friends later this month.

On March 31 the venue will screen the Julianne Moore movie about a university professor who struggles to maintain her mind and self after being diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s Disease.

Dementia Friends who show theirbadges when attending the screening will receive £1 off their ticket and be invited to join a free post-film discussion in The Dukes gallery.

This will be a chance to chat about the film and issues surrounding dementia as well as learn about The Dukes new dementia programme – A Life More Ordinary – which is officially launched in May.

The March 31 screening starts at 6.20pm followed by the discussion at 8pm. Both open to all. Tickets £6, £5 concs and Dementia Friends (a £1 per transaction fee applies to online bookings).
