Sea Stars will feature species from the familiar common starfish of British rock-pools to the giant multi-limbed Sunflower sea star from the icy waters off British Columbia, alongside the red knobbed starfish, granulated starfish and more.
Visitors to the Sea Stars exhibition, which opens on March 14 will be astounded by the private life of a seemingly humble and unglamorous creature, that most will have memories of from childhood holidays by the coast.
“Sea stars are amazingly complex animals which play a crucial role in maintaining the health of our seas,” said curator Lucy Handel.
Tickets for the attraction are available to pre-book online for just £9.95. For more information visit www.visitsealife.com/manchester or call 0871 221 2483.
