Modfather to play Guild Hall

The Modfather Paul Weller is to play a show at Preston Guild Hall later this year.

The former star of The Jam and The Style Council comes to the city centre venue on 
Saturday, October 12.

And indications are that Weller may be a fan of our Guild Hall after he personally chose the venues to perform at as part of the newly-announced 10-date UK tour

A spokesman for Weller’s management said: “Paul 
personally had a hand in putting together this tour.

“It features venues where Paul particularly enjoys 
performing and he wanted to return to some of the towns and venues that he has not played for a while.”

Weller played our Guild Hall quite recently – last visiting in November 2009. So it would seem he enjoyed that show.

Tickets for the new date go on sale this Friday, June 14, at 9am, priced at £37.50. They will be available from the Guild Hall box office on 0845 344 2012.
