Marina is holding festival day

Scarisbrick Marina is holding a festival and charity open weekend on July 6/7.

Attractions will include stall holders displaying local arts and crafts, delicious bread and cakes, vegetables, jams and chutneys, along with canal arts and crafts, traditional painted ware, rag rugs, and fender making.

There’ll also be face painting, folk/country music from noon until 5pm both days and a church service with Marshside brass band on Sunday at 10.30am.

The free event will also showcase traditional canal boats with their engines running and all their ‘Sunday best’ show gear on!

Also making an appearance will be the R.L.N.I., North West Air Ambulance and Rainbow House from Mawdesley.
