Crowds are expected to line the streets tomorrow to watch the annual carnival procession at 1pm boasting dancers and floats through the town centre, which will be collecting money for local charities.

From 2pm there will be a range of events on the field
behind Hope Terrace, including dance displays, live music, a DJ, children’s entertainment, as well as many stalls.

Many locals from Lostock Hall, and surrounding towns and villages have decorated the floats and themselves to a theme which is selected months in advance by the
Lostock Hall Carnival Committee. Though last year was a somewhat of a washout with a torrential downpour
soaking much of the carnival, organisers are hopeful for
drier weather for this year’s celebrations.
