Irish dancers’ eyes smiling
The event, which featured ceili dancing, traditional live music and a one-man-band, was organised to raise funds for the Whelan-Joyce School of Irish Dancing, who were on hand to perform a range of routines.
Five members of the school have secured places at the prestigious All-Ireland Championships in Dublin starting on Saturday, and the £1,900 gained on the night will cover their expenses and hotel bills.

“We raised a total of £1,900, £300 of which was donated by members of Chorley Masonic Hall who were impressed with a performance we gave them earlier in the year.
“We are over the moon at the donations and the support we have in the local area.”
She added: “Everyone had a great time. As well as all the great dancing, it was also good just to have a good old Irish night.”
