Singers and musicians from across the county will join forces in one of the North’s great theatres this Saturday to create The Sound of Lancashire.

Lancaster & District Choral Society and Longridge Brass Band at St Paul’s Church in Longridge last week, will again team up at Morecambe’s Winter Gardens to deliver an international, varied programme.

The choral society (LDCS), led by John Perrin, will sing works by Barber, Bruckner and Stanford, Verdi’s famous Anvil Chorus and Wherever You Are (The Military Wives’ song).

LDCS and the band explore opera – Puccini, Verdi and more – and perform a memorable Cole Porter medley.

Mark Peacock will conduct the award-winning band through Danny Boy, Durham Ox, Magnum Mysterium and Vitae Aeternum and more.
