The event was a resounding success last year, with two outdoor covered stages allowing music to continue during the day and night virtually without pause.

This year, the free event takes place over the Bank Holiday weekend on May 2, 3 and 4 at Kirkby Lonsdale Rugby Club, with camping and caravanning available on site too.

The event starts Friday evening, starting at 7pm, with Elvis impersonator Stevie Las Vegas in the clubhouse.

A spokesman for the organisers said: “This is a small free music festival, with a great atmosphere, in an stunning location, showcasing many talented musicians.

“Campers and caravaners are welcome, but we do ask them to book in advance, £25 for the weekend, £10 a night.”

Saturday from 12.30pm will see music from two marquees, similar to last year’s set up, but with larger tents and a bar serving around 20 traditional ciders and more than 30 real ales. Music to suit all tastes includes a carnival band, heavy metal, jazz/funk, tropical pop, traditional Irish music and many more.

Music ends around midnight on the Saturday, and kicks off again at 12.30pm on the Sunday until 11pm.

There will also be stalls selling art, crafts and gifts together with festival food from the clubhouse kitchens, face painting and an old fashioned ice cream cart.

On Sunday Smile Factor 10 will provide a display of kites.
