Molly was flown to the sunshine state for just over a week in mid-October on “music related business” according to her guitarist Luke Wilding; the results of such an epic and expensive journey will be announced in due course.

A mini tour of the state was organised for the Carnforth singer-songwriter to show off her voice while there.

Molly even got to perform at the world renowned Savanna Jazz Club in San Francisco, where she spent most of the evening making friends with local musicians.

Molly said: “It was amazing!

“It was the first time I’ve ever been to the US and everyone I met was so receptive and enthusiastic about music.

“I can’t wait to go back.”

Molly also went to see the famous giant redwood trees at Big Trees National Park, right.

She added: “The forests were just so lush and colourful in autumn and those trees were really, really big!”

The band – which features Nick Latham on bass, Luke Wilding on guitar, and Ben Fleetwood on drums – recently recorded a full album in three days at Eastcote Studios in West London, which has recorded with the likes of Mumford and Sons, Adele, Soft Cell and The Tindersticks to name a few.

The first single from the album – On The Run – is due for release on November 22, with a video also in the pipeline, and the band have dates in London to support the release, including the Troubadour Club on November 21 and The World’s End on November 22.

Molly performs at The Royal Bar in Morecambe tomorrow night, Friday, November 7, The Lily in Ambleside on November 8, and Night and Day Cafe in Manchester on November 19.
