The ghoulish line-upare part of the latest Prestfest event aiming to attract visitors to city centre venues over the weekend.

The fun will kick off on Halloween night (Friday, October 31) when a total of £1,000 will be handed out to revellers across 20 venues.

The ‘Preston Pounds’, to be won that evening, can be spent in Preston city centre’s restaurants, bars, pubs & clubs – keeping business local!

Mark Whittle of Prestfest organisers Preston Business Improvement District (BID), said he hoped it would build upon the last event which saw footfall rise significantly.

He said: “Prestfest has a proven track record of bringing people from across the North West to Preston to experience the great night out it has to offer.

“We have achieved that by constantly building upon our offer and working alongside city centre venues to get them to shape the offer.

“Our last event in February saw a huge jump in the number of people coming to Preston and we are confident this spooky Halloween spectacular will do the same.”

Free wristbands will be available in venues across the city centre on Friday and Saturday, with BID also launching a Preston At Night mobile phone app containing special deals and info on city spots.

Prestfest has been organised by BID since 2011 and was a key part in Preston securing Purple Flag status from the Association of Town and City Management (ACTM).

Meaning this weekend is sure to be a purple patch!
