Zumbathon raises over £1,300 for Rainbow Hub
Rainbow Hub’s Zumbathon has raised over £1,300 for the Mawdesley-based charity which supports children and young people with neurological and physical disabilities.
The event, which took place on Sunday October 18 at Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre was supported by CheckedSafe Compliance Solutions.

More than 50 people took part and instructors Joanne Berends-Sheriff, Amy Louise, Sylvia Skinner, Sarah Prescott and Cloudia Mayer worked hard making the event a great success as they all shimmied, salsa’d and danced three hours away.

Joanne Berends-Sheriff, Community Fundraiser, Rainbow Hub, said: “What an amazing afternoon hosting the Zumbathon for Rainbow Hub. I am so proud to be able to bring people together for a cause that means so much to me personally and professionally. A huge thank you to everyone who came along, danced, donated and supported us. Every penny makes a difference to the children and families Rainbow Hub support.”
Kat Nelson, Head of Marketing and Fundraising, Rainbow Hub said: “Zumbathon is a fantastic event and our grateful thanks go to CheckedSafe Compliance Solutions for supporting the afternoon; Joanne Berends-Sheriff and the other fantastic instructors for organising everything; and the lovely participants who helped make this event a success raising an amazing £1300. It means so much and every penny goes to supporting the children and families who use our services.”
