Rainbow Hub celebrates International Women’s Day and raises over £9,000
Rainbow Hub’s first ever International Women’s day celebration raised over £9,000 for the Lancashire charity supporting children and young people with physical and neurological disabilities.
The event, sponsored by Irwin Mitchell and Park Hall Hotel & Spa took place on Sunday March 8 at Park Hall Hotel and Spa, Charnock Richard, Preston PR7 5LP.

Over 100 amazing women came together to celebrate women’s achievements and support Rainbow Hub. Park Hall Hotel created a beautiful setting for a relaxing afternoon with a welcome drink and afternoon tea. Host Claire Simmo kept everything flowing as guests enjoyed a brilliant live performance from Kevin Simm, winner of the Voice UK and lead singer of Wet, Wet, Wet and talks from inspiring experts who shared their knowledge and positivity on personal styling, breathwork and award winning celebrity facials.
Emma Parish, Corporate Events and Relations Manager, Rainbow Hub, said: “what an incredible way to celebrate our very first International Day. We cannot thank everyone enough from the generous sponsors, Irwin Mitchell and Park Hall Hotel and Spa; Fleur Designs for the beautiful table centres; raffle, auction prizes and gift bag donor and stall holders to Victoria J photography and Party 347 for capturing the amazing afternoon. But most importantly, a huge thank you to every single person who attended and helped raise over £9,000 to brightening the lives of the children and young people with disabilities we support. We couldn’t have asked for a better first International Women’s Day celebration and we can’t wait to do it all again next year.”
Shahin Masters, Irwin Mitchell, said: “We were very happy to support Rainbow Hub’s first ever International Women’s Day Celebration at Park Hall in Preston. Supporting fundraising events such as this is so important to ensure that the charity can continue with their fantastic work. Providing children and young people with access to child brain injury rehabilitation services is critical and we can see how it helps children to reach their full potential and gain more independence, while simultaneously giving parents the vital support they deserve. We hope that lots of funds are raised on the day!”
Rafiya Sheron, Marketing and Events Manager, Park Hall Hotel and Spa, said, “We were absolutely delighted to support Rainbow Hub, our chosen local charity, and we’re incredibly proud to be sponsoring this event. At Park Hall Hotel & Spa, part of the Brilliant Hotels Collection, we strongly believe in giving back to our community and embedding social responsibility at the heart of what we do. Supporting meaningful causes such as Rainbow Hub aligns closely with our values, and it’s something we feel genuinely passionate about. This commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is also a key reason we were recognised nationally as a Highly Commended DE&I Champion in LLoyds British Business Awards, which we are very proud of. We’re honoured to be working alongside Rainbow Hub to celebrate International Women’s Day and to help shine a light on such an important cause."
