Rather than charging its usual fee for basic Wills, the firm asked clients to donate to Will Aid, helping to fund vital charity work in the UK and around the world.

The money will support Will Aid’s partner charities, whose work ranges from providing humanitarian aid to protecting vulnerable children and helping people facing hardship in the UK.

Hannah Phoenix of Adkirk Law said: “We’re proud to support Will Aid each year because it helps our clients plan for the future, it’s always a real team effort, and it’s rewarding to know the funds support people facing difficult circumstances in the UK and around the world.”

Since launching in 1988, Will Aid has raised more than £26 million in donations, with millions more pledged in charitable legacies thanks to participating solicitors.

Lauren Poole, Chair of Will Aid, said: “Congratulations to the team on raising such a fantastic amount, and it’s inspiring to see firms support Will Aid by giving their time and expertise to help clients while raising vital funds for our partner charities.”

Peter de Vena Franks, Will Aid’s Campaign Director, said: “The continued commitment from firms like Adkirk Law is what makes Will Aid such a success year after year, helping the campaign reach more people while generating essential funding for charities delivering crucial work in the UK and beyond.”

Will Aid runs every November, giving people the opportunity to have a professionally written Will in exchange for a donation.

The suggested donation is £120 for a basic single Will and £200 for a pair of basic mirror Wills.

Proceeds support Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Crisis, NSPCC, SCIAF (Scotland), Shelter, and Trócaire (Northern Ireland).

Will Aid encourages people to sign up on its website for updates on the 2026 solicitor list, and asks more solicitors to take part each year to meet demand.

The campaign brings solicitors and clients together to combine professional will-writing with fundraising, showing how the legal profession can make a meaningful difference in communities.
