Preston gym Find Your Way Fitness celebrates 1st Birthday with Silent Disco raising £2,500 for Rainbow Hub
Find Your Way Fitness, based in Bamber Bridge, celebrated its 1st Birthday recently by holding a unusual event – a Silent Disco which has raised £2,500 for Rainbow Hub, the Mawdesley based charity which supports children and young adults with physical and neurological disabilities.
The event was held on May 23 when a huge 150 strong group of men, women, children and dogs set off at 6.30 pm to walk up Rivington Pike. But this was no ordinary ramble - all the participants had their headsets at full volume and danced their way to three different “rave” points with glow sticks lighting the way before heading to the summit for a sunset celebration.

Everyone had a Find Your Way Fitness limited edition t shirt and could choose from different 3 different channels of music on headsets provided by CDS events. A pizza van from Hopwoods helped them keep up their energy levels.

One of the group, Paul Regan, said: “It was one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever done but also one of the most interesting. Three DJs, 150 headsets, 5 hours of being amongst great people with a back drop of lovely Lancashire – perfect.”
Emma Parish, Corporate Relations and Events Manager, Rainbow Hub, said: “Our grateful thanks to Ryan and all associated with Find Your Way Fitness for organising this brilliant and unusual event in aid of Rainbow Hub as a celebration of your first birthday. It was a wonderful turnout and every penny raised will help us continue providing our much needed services for childen across the North West.”
