Following a £250 donation from Co-op's Community Fund earlier this year, the funeral home team has supported the charity by purchasing essential supplies for its breakfast club and outreach programme.

The Co-op Funeralcare team also launched its own Christmas appeal, encouraging the local community to drop off toiletries, Christmas treats, and warm clothing items – such as hats, gloves, and scarves- so that they can be distributed during the charity’s annual Christmas meal for those in need.

Michelle Brown, Funeral Arranger at Co-op Funeralcare Darwen, said: “Our work within the community goes far beyond arranging funerals. We are passionate about giving back and proud to support causes that make a real difference to local lives, such as the Phoenix Hub.

“Christmas can be a challenging time for those experiencing homelessness, and through this vital partnership, we aim to provide comfort and bring some joy to those who need it most this festive season.”
