Darts legend heads to Preston to meet fans
Darts team is hosting a meet and greet with darts legend and former World Champion Steve Beaton Saturday, July 18.
Nicknamed ‘The Bronzed Adonis’ for his year-round tan, Steve burst onto the darting scene in the 1970’s, eventually winning the BDO World Championship in 1996. Steve had a very successful career in professional darts, and is one of the most popular players on the darts circuit.
To celebrate the start of the 2026 World Matchplay in Blackpool, Darts Team, a specialist darts store and community hub located within Preston Grasshoppers RFC, is delighted to invite you to a free meet and greet with Steve Beaton. Here, you will have the opportunity to chat to him, take pictures, and get any of your darts memorabilia signed. This event will take place on Saturday July 18 from 10:30-12:30, at the Darts Team store in Fulwood.
This is not just a private event for the darts-obsessed – everyone is welcome to come, and no booking or calling ahead is necessary.
Darts Team is conveniently located just off Junction 32 of the M6, so for anyone heading down to Blackpool to watch the World Matchplay at the iconic Winter Gardens, why not stop off on the way?
Later that week, Darts Team will also welcome up-and-coming player, Lancashire’s Jack Drayton, to our store for a meet and greet, where customers will also have the opportunity to play against a potential future world champion! This will be on Friday uly 24 3pm-5pm, so don’t forget to add that date to your diary.
