Brew up for Mad Hatters Tea Party at Preston parks

Preston is to come alive to the sound of music, thrills and laughter at a new major festival in its historic parks this summer.

Saturday July 23 will see the first Mad Hatters Herbal Tea Party in Miller Park and Avenham Parks.

The all-day event will feature live acts, circus performers and a variety of attractions for all the family.

Organisers say the event is aimed at families, communities and charity fundraising.

A spokesman for organisers Wolf Entertainments said: “Be ready for a day of love, fun, tea and music.

“This one-day festival is gearing up to be an action packed and glorious day.

“From theatre, music, circus and fitness, a whole range of fantastic events will be bringing in the sunshine and all the party atmosphere!”

Bands and artists performing include: Hang in D, Karena, Bingo Bay and Crossbill, Honour Roots, Lynda Law, and Adam Williams.

The circus stage will feature The Beatniks, La Moobaaz, Wolf Entertainments & Desire Aerial Studio, who will be high flying, fire spinning and much more.

The audience can catch thebreath-taking circus performances throughout the day, every hour.

Firms supporting the event also include The Mystery Tea House, Jules Precious Vintage, Totem Whispers, Belladonnas Boudoir.

Other attractions include face painting, a bouncy castle, hook-a-duck, circus workshops, burgers & refreshments.

There are no restrictions on alcohol being brought into the park.

All proceeds are to be donated to Derian House children’s hospice, Chorley.

The event runs from noon. Tickets are priced £2, or a donation on the gates.
