What is Arcade Club?

Arcade Club started as a private collection of 30 retro arcade machines in the back room of a family run computer shop.

The nostalgic arcade quickly gained in popularity, prompting the first official Arcade Club to open in a Haslingden Warehouse where it hosted almost 100 machines.

In October 2015 the Arcade Club outgrew the Haslingden warehouse moving to the much bigger Ella Mill in Bury. In March 2017 the business expanded again to a second floor.

How many Arcade Clubs are there in the UK?

Arcade Club currently has two venues in Bury and Leeds, making Blackpool the third venue to open.

It's still too early to say which games could be coming to Blackpool, however, we can get a good idea from both the Bury and Leeds venues.

Will other games be available?

Along with the retro selection of games, there will also be more recent titles, such as, World of Warcraft, Doom, Minecraft and Fortnite, as well as board and card games such as Warhammer and Pokemon.

Other venues currently also have VR, high end gaming PCs, Japanese Arcades and Pinball rooms - but it is not known if this will be the case in Blackpool.

How much will it cost?

No prices have been revealed for the Blackpool site, however, admission in Bury is £12 or £16 (adults) for both floors, kids can get in for £6, in Leeds it's £16 for adults and £8 for children.

Where will the Arcade Club be opening Blackpool?

Arcade Club is set to open in the former Sam Thai casino premises on Bloomfield Road.

When is Arcade Club likely to open in Blackpool?

Arcade Club was originally slated to open in the early part of 2020, however, no revised opening date has been released yet.
