My three best things to do in & around Preston next week inc a Steampunk event & Leyland Festival
Senior reporter Aimee Seddon with her entertainment guide to three best things to do next week in and around Preston.
Preston

First in Preston, a show called 9 to 5 The Musical is on at the Preston Playhouse between Wednesday, June 17 and Saturday, June 20.
This high-energy, feel-good comedy is inspired by the iconic 1980 film and features an original score by country music legend Dolly Parton.
Brought to the stage by Preston Musical Comedy Society, this dazzling production promises to have audiences dancing in their seats.
Extremely limited tickets are available, costing £19.40 for adults.

Also in Preston, the Ribble Steam Railway is hosting its annual Steampunk Saturday on Saturday, June 20.
Running between 10am and 5pm, the event celebrates all things Steampunk.
Expect to see plenty of colour and unique styles from Steampunk community members from across the North West and beyond.
Tickets are £12.50 for adults, £7.50 for children, £10 for concessions and £32 for a family of four.
Tickets include all day travel on the trains and entrance to the museum.
South Ribble

Finally, in South Ribble, Leyland Festival returns to the town on Saturday, June 20.
Now in it’s 137th year, Leyland Festival will take place at Worden Park and this year the theme is all things country.
Celebrations kick off with a parade that runs throughout the town, starting at 12pm and ending at Worden Park.
There will also be live music, stalls, food and drink, a dog show, a motor village, a Wellness Zone, a Kite Festival and children’s activities such as a bouncy castle, sports, funfair, crafts and the model railway will be in operation.
The event is free to attend but new for this year is an exclusive VIP Area, costing £15.
