The highlight of this partnership is the hotel’s backing of the highly anticipated summer extravaganza, The Dukes Park Show. This year, the outdoor performance in the scenic grounds of Williamson Park will bring to life Lewis Carroll’s beloved classic, Alice in Wonderland.
Emma Underwood, General Manager of Lancaster House Hotel, expressed her enthusiasm for the ongoing collaboration with The Dukes, saying: “We’re keen to maintain our working relationship with The Dukes this year. It continues to be an inspiring cultural hub for theatre, cinema, and art in Lancaster’s local communities and across Lancashire as a whole.
“The aim of our sponsorship is to make a difference to the lives of young people and their families by giving them free access to some brilliant cultural experiences and learning opportunities.”
As part of this generous sponsorship, Lancaster House Hotel has reserved 20 exclusive VIP tickets. These tickets will include a special meet-and-greet session with the actors and a backstage tour, offering participants a rare glimpse into the inner workings of the theatre world.
In line with The Dukes’ Community Connector sponsorship for 2024, Lancaster House Hotel is extending its involvement beyond the summer show. The hotel is also supporting The Dukes’ Christmas show, providing 30 tickets for local school children to attend the festive performance free of charge.
This Christmas package will feature a Santa’s Christmas dinner and disco for the children, as well as transportation to and from the theatre, making it a truly magical experience.
A significant portion of this sponsorship package, 70%, is funded through English Lakes Hotels’ Sam’s Club charity, which is dedicated to supporting local charities and good causes. This underscores Lancaster House Hotel’s commitment to community engagement and philanthropy.
This year, the hotel’s involvement with The Dukes includes several innovative initiatives. Lancaster House Hotel is sponsoring three school workshops with an artist, allowing up to 30 young people per session to engage in creative activities linked to the Alice in Wonderland production.
Additionally, the hotel is collaborating with The Dukes Young Carers group to organize an exhilarating day out at Low Wood Bay Watersports Centre on the shores of Windermere, promising a day filled with water-based thrills and adventures.
Moreover, Lancaster House Hotel’s team will offer their services to assist with site maintenance work at the selected school that receives complimentary tickets, further demonstrating their commitment to community support.
