It’s a perfect way to enjoy the spring season while exploring the region’s stunning landscapes with friendly, knowledgeable walk leaders.

Something for everyone

Highlights include the three-day Wyre Way Challenge, tramper-accessible trails, wildlife and heritage walks, evening strolls and family-friendly activities.

Dog owners can enjoy dog-friendly routes, while newcomers can join easy access walks designed for all abilities. The festival truly offers a walk for everyone.

Meet the festival team

Ahead of the festival, the Friends of Garstang Walking Festival are hosting “Meet the Festival Team” sessions at Garstang Library.

These events give the public a chance to meet walk leaders and volunteers, ask questions, and find out more about what’s on offer. Dates include 14 and 28 February, 14 and 25 March, and 16 April.

Councillor Lynne Bowen, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Health and Community Engagement, praised the festival’s volunteers and organisers: “Garstang Walking Festival returns for another fantastic year.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming even more people to enjoy Wyre’s great outdoors this year.”
