A popular community festival returns to Preston city centre this weekend.

What can we expect from this year’s festival?

There will be free entertainment and activities to suit all ages, including crazy golf, giant games, face painting, workshops with Blackpool Circus School and performances from:

  • Preston band Saraban
  • Worldwise Samba Drummers
  • Peformance art group Bring the Fire
  • Preston children’s entertainer TAZ Magic
  • Global bubble artist Paris Bubbles
  • Blackpool children’s entertainers The Magic House

There will also be a pop up licensed bar and food too.

Do I need to buy tickets?

There is no entrance fee and all the activities are free too but you are encouraged to book your tickets online.

Friends of Winckley Square do, however, work hard all the year round to raise funds to offer both this event and the Christmas Concert free (with the help of Preston City Council and local businesses) so they would welcome any donations.

What has been said about the festival?

Promoting the event, organsisers said: “There is something for all ages. Sit and relax and sip a PIMMs or a beer from the pop up bar whilst watching the show or dance.

It will be a fun packed day with lots to do and join in. More details will be posted soon. If you came last year you will know that everyone had a fantastic time.
