Heartbreak for England fans as Preston watches World Cup dream end against Argentina

England’s World Cup dream is over.

Last night, England fans in Preston packed out Chew’s Yard on Market Street, with high hopes that the Three Lions could reach their first World Cup final since 1966.

However, those hopes turned to heartbreak as Lionel Messi inspired a dramatic late comeback to send Argentina into the final against Spain.

We’ve been with Lancashire fans at every match, capturing the rollercoaster of emotions throughout England’s World Cup run, and last night was no exception.
