Chorley hosting special events for budding writers

Budding writers are encouraged to get down a special event in Chorley on Saturday, November 17.

Write Now is a Chorley Writers’ Circle event taking place which will feature well-known publishers and authors.

Publishers Sapere Books from London and the Gritstone Publishing Co-Operative will give talks, along with crime writers Simon Michael, DJ Harrison and self-published specialist Ruth Sutton.

Discussions will be centred upon how to get published, the various different avenues open to writers, and their pros and cons.

The i newsletter cut through the noise

It should be a very entertaining and informative afternoon and not one to miss if you’re a would-be writer!

Local authors are also encouraged to take a table to sell their books during the interval.Write Now starts at 1pm and ends around 5pm at St Mary’s Social Centre, accessed via West Street car park off Devonshire Road, Chorley (PR7 2SR).

There is free parking from 1pm. Tickets cost £10 and booking is via Eventbrite although people can also pay on the door.
