Scorton’s annual family fest, Scorton Steam, on over the Fathers’ Day weekend of Saturday and Sunday, June 18 -19 , at the showground off Gubberford Lane, will be the highest octane in its 11-year history.

Organisers have announced Leyland-based, world record holding Broke FMX as its main arena attraction.

As the UK’s leading motorcycle display team, Broke FMX performs hair-raising aerial stunts – leaping buses and turning breathtaking backflips.

Their antics will be supported by Scorton favourites such as its display of steam engines and exhibition of more than 600 vintage vehicles, its thrilling lawn mower grand prix, its fun fair, quad bikes and bungee trampolines to keep the children busy, its craft marquee, food hall, beer tent and much more.

Throughout the weekend, Scorton Steam will also support the district branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, which is its chosen charity for 2016.

Scorton opens daily at 9am but visitors can also camp from Friday to Sunday night. At night, Scorton’s atmosphere changes from a carnival to a festival vibe with lit up displays, licensed bar, food and live entertainment. This year’s headlining act is Lancaster-based indie folk band The Woodsmen, winners of rave reviews nationwide.
