Burt is 88 now and has penned too many wonderful songs to list - which means he can just about be forgiven for inflicting Wives and Lovers upon us too...

The six-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Academy Award winner racked up 52 top 40 hits in the 60s and 70s alone.

While he may not plan on visiting Lytham any time soon fans can hear the best from the Burt Bacharach song book at Lytham’s Lowther Pavilion on Friday June 3 - when Breakdown Productions present Magic Moments, a tribute to Burt Bacharach, and a mix of intantly recognisable Bacharach songs such as Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head, Alfie, What The World Needs Now, The Look Of Love, What’s New Pussycat and Magic Moments, of course.

A seven-piece band backs two singers. Tickets £16.50-£17.50.

All proceeds go to the Love Lowther refurbishment project.
