Scores of walkers in
colourful fancy dress will join the hospice’s annual fundraising Moonlight and
Memories Walk through the night until 5am.

The walk is the
institution’s biggest and most popular fundraising event of the year and, following the huge success of last year’s walk, to which men were
welcomed for the first time, organisers want to make this year a real
family affair.

So they are moving the walk’s start time forward by two hours, from midnight to 10pm, in the hope that more families and children will be able to take part.

And they are also introducing a Memory Wall – a place where walkers can put up pictures, or write a tribute or display a poem in memory of someone they have loved and lost.

All walkers wear the Moonlight and Memories Walk T-shirt – which this year will have a space for people to add a photograph or
memento, again allowing them to include the person they have lost in the walk.

Walkers will set out from the start point at Hutton
Police Headquarters from 10pm tomorrow.
