CatsDog was established in 2013, and has moved to Tulketh Brow off Lane Ends in the last few weeks.

The business, set up by Cat Race, had been based at her Ribbleton home and on location across Lancashire, but its success has seen it move to a new base in the city.

Cat, 31, previously worked for a family portrait studio and described herself as a “dog fanatic”, but said a portrait studio was “not a natural dog environment”.

She said: “When I got my own dog, Poppy, I was photographing her,I was taking shots of her and I decided to start up a dog-focussed photography business. That was January 2013 and it’s gone from strength to strength.”

Shoots are done on location, with owners invited to view the images at the CatsDog studio. Cat said: “We are trying to portray the pet’s personality and the connection they have with their owner.”
