INSPIRED by her musical dad and uncle, as well as the great Dolly Parton, a singer from Leyland has recorded and released her first single.
Yazzmin Devoy's song 'I wish you would' is a catchy modern tune with a country twist. It's available now on Spotify and itunes.

Hide AdYazzmin, 22, from Clarence Street, Leyland, said: "Everyone has always said I have a country-sounding voice. I've always admired the music of Dolly Parton.
"I've been singing since I was little. Before lockdown I was singing at parties and weddings, mainly doing cover versions."
Yazzmin is from a musical family. Her dad Mervyn Goulding was a DJ in Ibiza and her uncle Dave was in a band in the 80s. It was Dave Goulding who planned to help his niece record her song in a London studio, before the coronavirus made that impossible.
Yazzmin said: "When that happened I just decided to buy my own equipment and do it myself. It's always been an ambition of mine. This is not the first song I've written; I've been writing songs since I was 13."

"I always loved the James Bond themes so I thought I would do one myself," she explained.
"It's been released on Spotify and had 800 streams so far. For me lockdown has been a blessing in disguise. I don't think I would have done this otherwise.
"The song is available on itunes for 99p. I'm not sure how it's going, but I know my mum's bought a copy."
