The North West Sound Archive, based at the Castle, is giving people the chance to see a range of classic cars on display in the area at the foot of the Castle keep, between 11 am and 3-30 pm.

Besides the cars, there will be displays in the Pendle Hill Room of long forgotten North-West car manufacturers, including the Little Midland Company which produced cyclecars from 1909 to 1919 at its Midland Works in Castle Street, Clitheroe.

There will also be short films showing throughout the day of the regional car industry, including the work of Bond Cars.

Sound archive officer Andrew Schofield said: “See cars from Austin 7s to Rolls-Royces with lots in between, including Bond Mini Cars and Lotus Elans. Last year’s event was a great success, with thousands of people turning up to see the cars in this stunning setting and to learn more about our work.”
