The event at the newly refurbished Jokerz Bar, opposite Central Pier, is the brainchild of Russ Mow and Lynsey Kemp, AKA Achtung! The Morse Code.

The night on September 10 will be headlined by three top DJS – Mark Archer, from Stoke ravers Altern 8, Gez Varley, from LFO and Mike Humphries from The Orbit in Leeds.

Russ said: “This is not going to be your average event, we have been planning this event since the back end of 2015.

“The reason for it taking so long is because we have had to wait for the perfect venue and more importantly we have booked three exceptionally world famous headline DJs, which has taken time to get these guys available on the same date.

“It really is a huge leap in the right direction for the Blackpool underground club scene, the headliners have not come cheap by any means.

“There’s quite a nice story behind these three guys actually, all three of them date back to ‘day dot’ as far as UK techno production goes, they are three very close friends, however, they have not played alongside each other for the best part of three decades under the same roof, so it’s nice to reunite them around their busy schedule in our home town.”

Mark Archer added: “I have played Blackpool a few times since, more recently at Back To The Old Pool Festival, always a great friendly crowd, I look forward to playing some Acid and Techno here.”

Mike Humphries said: “I really am excited about playing in Blackpool, it will be my first time playing there - Thank you Achtung! The Morse Code.”

Gez Varley said: “This is actually the first time we have played under the same roof together, so it is very exciting for us, not only as producers but as DJ’s too.

“We all have different styles and methods of working a good crowd.

“Myself and the other two headliners are genuinely excited about this event for a number of reasons. We all love Blackpool, not only for it’s nightlife but some great childhood memories have been made there.”
