Worden Park was awash with red, green and jingling bells as families, friends and even four-legged participants turned out for this year’s Mental Elf run.
With options ranging from the relaxed 2km route to the more energetic 5km challenge, people of all ages joined in the festive fun.
Supporters gathered around indoor activity areas while crowds lined the park’s paths to cheer on the elves, creating a warm community atmosphere despite the winter chill.
Lancashire Mind said the turnout showed the strength of local support for mental health services, with yesterday’s event raising vital funds for programmes delivered across the county.
From wellbeing coaching to community outreach and support in schools the charity relies on fundraisers like Mental Elf to keep its work going.
