After a quiet week dominated by the international scene, the football is back with a bang this weekend, with a tasty lunchtime kick off seeing in form Liverpool travel to Wembley for their first real test this season against Tottenham.

I wouldn’t fancy the task of pricing this one up myself I must admit.

I think what we can be sure of is goals will be scored and possibly lots of them, with the both teams to score and win market sure to be popular.

As a betting man I would probably stick my neck out and say the 7/2 on Spurs win and both teams to score is the better value over Liverpool at 3/1, for what is in my view an even match up.

If you wanted to do a first goalscorer to cheer on in the pub before you head up to Deepdale, we have gone top price on Harry Kane at a very backable 4/1. You will not find this anywhere else on the high street so be sure to pay us a visit if it’s your kind of bet.

Talking of Deepdale, North End find themselves in a lowly league position, though it’s far too early for panic stations just yet.

They have squandered winning positions at home to Stoke and Bolton, which has cost them a spot in mid table.

If you do want to back them to get 3 points, we have gone an industry best as always at Betsid, of EVENS.

This is sure to be very popular amongst our local punters, so be sure to get in shop early if you do want this. Nobody in this game can afford to offer too much of a good thing for too long I am afraid!!!

Another local side we always offer the best odds in the land for are Blackpool. This weekends top price on the Tangerines sees them at 13/8.

I tipped them up in last week’s column to win and both score and they obliged in spectacular fashion.

Why change something that isn’t broken? I’m going to tip them to do it again away at Plymouth with the 7/2 tempting enough!

It would be wrong not to mention a little horse race this weekend with the final classic of the flat season, the St Leger at Doncaster.

As is often the case in the Leger it’s a classic girls against boys scenario, with the impressive filly Lah Ti Dar taking on Aidan O’Briens stayer Kew Gardens at the head of the market. My preference is for Mark Johnston’s DEE EX BEE at a nailed on each way price of 12/1.

The early hours of Sunday also sees top notch action with Golovkin-Alvarez the rematch. We have seen some decent money online at betsid.com for GGG to stop his Mexican rival at 23/10 so we have decided to balance our book by boosting Canelo to 5/2 to win on points and 7/4 to win the fight.

Enjoy the action folks and keep it what it should be, a bit of fun! Joe
