Weather washes out Lancashire at Blackpool
Lancashire's Royal London Cup clash with Notts ended as a draw after rain curtailed play after two hours' play at Stanley Park.
There was no further play possible after the Red Rose made 157 for one after 33 overs
The home side made an indifferent start when they lost Tom Smith for a duck with the score on six.
Notts pinned down the Lancashire batsman for a time with some accurate seam bowling before Alviro Petersen and Luke Procter began to assume control.
They put on 151 runs for the second wicket in 28.4 overs, a record in 50-over a side cricket at Stanley Park.
Petersen was unbeaten on 73 and Procter 63 before the rain arrived.
As the players came on to the field for the match, they were greeted by youngsters from Norcross Cricket Club, who formed a guard of honour.
Blackpool were led by Steven Croft, playing on the ground where he learned his cricket.
Notts brought in Jake Ball, released from 12th man duty for England in the Third Test against Sri Lanka.
