As the flat season starts to wind down the jumping action starts to pick up and with AP McCoy looking to break even more records he’s been hammering in winners all over the show the past month.

AP is by far the best jump jockey of our generation and is sure to add to his plethora of winners here with Ben Haslem’s Ever So Much. The horse won very impressively last time out when winning by a good seven lengths. Despite the horse being risen markedly in the weights this contest shouldn’t pose too many difficulties and has what it takes to follow up with another success.

Richard Hughes is determined to chase down Ryan Moore in the jockey’s championship and over the past week has been firing in the winners. I think Hughes may take another step towards Moore in this race as he rides current favourite Conquestadim. The horse takes a big drop down in class and with a good second over the course last time out it makes the four year old a more than worthy favourite.

The most likely opposition in my opinion is Jamie Osbournes three year old Passionate a Affair who has a course and distance win to its name and represents a top yard. It’s recent form has been somewhat lacklustre but if it can recapture some of its previous efforts will get close to the favourite however I’m still going to side with Hughie Morrison’s charge.

Conquestadim (WIN)

We end today’s three selections with a trip over the water to Ireland.

Their fifth race of the day is pretty open with most of the entrants having very varied and mixed form. With that in mind I’m looking for a horse with a good level of consistency and despite its fifth last time out Snowmane still remains a good quality horse. From the Ger Lyons yard who are finding winner after winner.

Noticeable danger is Bell Of The Ball who won really well last time out but I think the seven pound rise in the weights could hinder its improvement and as such will stick with the three year old, Colin Keane mount.

Snowmane (WIN)
