Bolton: Alnwick, Olkowski, Wheater, Beevers, Taylor, Vela, Lowe, Murphy, Wildschut, Magennis, Noone.

Key Men

Josh Harrop: Touch and go whether he starts or not but Harrop is coming of age already this season. Mixed his usual excellent work on the ball with a bit more industry in the League Cup win at Leeds on Tuesday. Could be a big player this season.

Josh Magennis: First cash signing in three-and-a-half years at Bolton, costing £200,000 from Charlton. Has scored three in five and is the kind of muscular front man who tends to do well at Wanderers.

In the visiting dugout

Phil Parkinson: Chorley-born Parkinson was a Preston North End fan in his younger days, even though his family moved down south when he was a child. He was appointed Bolton manager in June 2016 and in his first season in charge, guided the Trotters to promotion from League One. Prior to that, Parkinson managed Bradford City for five years. In that time, City were promoted from League Two and reached the League Cup final. He has also managed Colchester, Hull and Charlton, and in 2006 was on PNE’s managerial shortlist.

Andy Davies: Hampshire official has taken charge of PNE games in each of the last three seasons. In January he was the man in the middle for the 1-1 draw with Birmingham at Deepdale. Davies also took charge of the 1-0 defeat at Reading on the opening day of the 2016-17 season and the 0-0 draw at Brighton back in October 2015. Has shown 17 yellow cards in five games in the Championship, League Two and League Cup so far this season.
