Preston's Alan Browne in running for player of month award
Preston North End midfielder Alan Browne has been nominated for the PFA Bristol Street Player of the Month award in the Championship.
The 22-year-old is on a six-man shortlist together with Lucas Joao of Sheffield Wednesday, Ivan Cavaleiro of Wolverhampton Wanderers, Cardiff City's Sean Morrison, Middlesbrough's Adama Traore and James Maddison of Norwich City.
PNE manager Alex Neil said: "Whenever you speak to managers after games, Alan is a player they mention because he is an absolute nightmare to play against.
"There are always players at clubs who are underestimated in my opinion and Alan has been underestimated.

"I think is now getting the plaudits he rightly deserves.
"We have to bear in mind that Alan is only 22, he is only a kid.
"Josh Harrop is the same age but look at the amount of games Alan has managed to churn out over the last few seasons in comparison to Josh who was in an academy for a long time.
"Alan has done great for us and hopefully that can continue."
