Preston North End striker Connor Simpson on target for loan club Hyde United
The striker scored for the Evo-Stik Premier Division club in their 4-1 victory over South Shields.
Simpson grabbed Hyde’s second just before half-time, beating the goalkeeper to a through ball before scoring from a narrow angle.

The 6ft 6in front man’s one senior appearance since his £50,000 move from Hartlepool in January came in the dying moments against Aston Villa at Villa Park in February.
Elsewhere on the loan front Mathew Hudson played his second game for Bury on Tuesday night, starting in goal for the Shakers’ 2-1 Checkatrade Trophy win over Leicester’s Under 21s at Gigg Lane.
His only other appearance for the League Two club came in the same competition against Rochdale last month.
