Preston North End youngster Connor Simpson has extended his loan spell with Hyde United.

The 18-year-old has scored five goals in nine appearances for the Tigers in the NPL Premier Division.

Having initially joined for a month he will now stay in Greater Manchester until January 1.

The towering teenager’s only appearance for PNE since his January move from Hartlepool came as a late substitute in the 1-1 draw with Aston Villa back in February.

Simpson also spent time on loan with Lancaster City last season.
