PNE knock back reports linking them with Bradford striker Charlie Wyke

The 25-year-old centre-forward is being chased by Sunderland and Bolton Wanderers, while Peterborough also showed an interest.

It had been reported that North End have enquired about Wyke but that has been met with a firm denial at Deepdale.

While they are looking to bring in another striker before the August 9 transfer deadline, Wyke is not on their radar.

He started his career at Middlesbrough before moving to Carlisle in January 2015.

A strong scoring record in League Two earned him a £250,000 move to Bradford in January 2017.
