At just 10 years old, Preston’s own Isaac Garth is already making headlines in the world of karting — and his journey has only just begun.

After only one year in competitive racing, Isaac has already achieved what many young drivers dream of. Following an incredible debut season in the Super One Championship, where he finished among the Top 5 drivers in the nation, Isaac is now taking on his biggest challenge yet: stepping up to the Intermax class — competing against drivers as old as 13 in both British and international races.

What makes Isaac’s rise even more remarkable is just how fast he’s progressed. His natural talent, fierce determination, and mature racing mindset have caught the attention of one of the biggest teams in karting, who recently invited him to join their ranks. This incredible opportunity means Isaac now has access to some of the best coaches and facilities in the sport, helping him unlock his full potential.

To give Isaac the best possible chance to succeed, his family has made huge sacrifices. His parents, Colleen and Arron Garth, have reorganised their lives around his training and travel schedule — even deciding to home school him so he can dedicate more time to his racing. Isaac now trains three to four times a week and races most weekends, even during the off-season, demonstrating the kind of commitment usually seen in seasoned professionals.

His dad, who owns Preston based business Crystal Leisure Swimming Pools, and his mum, a dedicated local nurse, have poured their hearts — and their time — into helping their son chase his dream. “It’s all worth it,” they say, “because we can see how much Isaac loves it. He’s so focused and determined — we just want to give him every chance to reach his potential.”

Their support, along with help from local sponsors who backed Isaac’s debut season, has laid the foundation for an incredible journey ahead. And while the dream is big — to become Preston’s first British karting champion, and one day, a European champion — Isaac’s trajectory shows he’s well on his way.

From his first laps in a micro kart just a year ago to taking on some of the fastest young racers in Europe, Isaac Garth is proving that age is no barrier when you have passion, talent, and family behind you.

As the engines roar and the grids form up for another season, all eyes will be on the young Preston driver with the big dream — because Isaac isn’t just racing karts. He’s racing toward a future full of possibility.
