Great Ecc posted 224-7 batting first and in reply, despite a valiant 60 by Sam Marsh Croston were skittled for 191.

In Division One, Eccleston beat Hoghton by 92 runs.

Eccleston’s Matt Ashcroft hit an unbeaten 62 as they posted 166-6 in their 40 overs.

Eccleston bowled Hoghton out for 74 runs with Thomas Wilkinson picking up six wickets for 24.

White Coppice beat Kirkham and Wesham by seven wickets.

Kirkham were bowled out for 117 with Phillip Jackson and J Wayne Dixon picking up three wickets apiece.

Kyle Dixon hit 50 and Chris Maguire made 32 as Coppice chased down the target in just 20 overs.

Withnell Fold’s game against Rufford was rained off with both sides taking two points.

In Division Two, Whittle and Clayton-le-Woods lost by seven wickets at home to Mawdesley.

Whittle were bowled out for 73 with Paul Whitaker (22) the top scorer.

Mawdesley chased down the total in 24.3 overs with David Whiteley (22) and 
Matthew Watkinson (21) top scoring.

In Division Three, Leyland thirds lost by six wickets to Fulwood and Broughton thirds.

Eccleston’s second XI beat Longridge thirds by 18 runs at home.

In Division Four, Chorley St James’ home game against Wrea Green’s second XI was called off due to rain with both sides picking up two points.

Whittle and Clayton-le-Woods’ second XI lost to Great Eccleston thirds by 91 runs away from home.

Whittle’s Edward O’Donnell picked up 4-29.
