Kenyon is a success in sizzling conditions in Summer Bowling North West League

Ice-cool Matt Kenyon kept his nerve in sizzling heat on Saturday to pull off a superb victory on the third qualifying day of the 2022 Summer Bowling North West League.

The Chorley St Joseph’s man saw off team-mate Ray Massey in the last 32, then chalked up a stunning 21-13 win again in form Gary Tiimlin, who was victorious in the first qualifying competition.

Kenyon then sailed through his quarter-final and semi-final ties before ending a gruelling day by edging out Ross Hatzer 21-19 in a thrilling final.

And as well as triumphing on the day, Kenyon earned a host of qualifying points for the finals day which takes place at Brownedge, Bamber Bridge on Saturday, September 3, when the top 16 players face off against each other.

The final qualifier takes place at St George’s, Chorley, on August 6 before that final showdown at Brownedge, Bamber Bridge, in September when the top 16 players face off against each other.
