The Chorley St Joseph’s man saw off team-mate Ray Massey in the last 32, then chalked up a stunning 21-13 win again in form Gary Tiimlin, who was victorious in the first qualifying competition.

Kenyon then sailed through his quarter-final and semi-final ties before ending a gruelling day by edging out Ross Hatzer 21-19 in a thrilling final.

And as well as triumphing on the day, Kenyon earned a host of qualifying points for the finals day which takes place at Brownedge, Bamber Bridge on Saturday, September 3, when the top 16 players face off against each other.
